Is it suitable for babies and newborns?

Softie Calendula Baby Balm is designed for delicate, eczema-prone and sensitive baby skin. “Suitable from birth” should only be used once newborn suitability has been confirmed for the finished formula through the appropriate safety assessment.

How often should I use it?

Apply a small amount once or twice daily to dry, rough or irritated-looking areas. It can also be used after bathing to help keep moisture locked into the skin.

Could it irritate my baby’s skin?

Every baby’s skin is different, and no product can guarantee that a reaction will never occur. Softie uses a short, fragrance-free ingredient list to reduce unnecessary variables. Patch test before wider use and stop using it if irritation occurs.

Is it genuinely fragrance-free?

Softie is intended to contain no added fragrance, essential oils or artificial “baby scent.” The final wording should only go live once the complete formula confirms that no fragrance materials or masking fragrance are present.

How much should I use?

A small amount is usually enough. Warm the balm between clean fingertips, then gently smooth a thin layer over the skin. There is no need to apply a thick coating.

Can I use it on the face and body?

Yes. Softie is designed for dry areas such as the cheeks, arms, legs, elbows, behind the knees and skin folds. Avoid the eyes, mouth and broken or weeping skin unless advised otherwise by a healthcare professional.

Can it replace steroid cream?

Softie is not a steroid cream or prescription treatment. It is a daily moisturising balm intended to comfort and protect dry, sensitive skin. Follow your doctor’s advice for prescribed products and do not stop treatment without speaking to them.

How long until I notice a difference?

Softie is not an eczema cure and does not promise a specific results timeline. Some parents may notice softer, calmer-looking skin with consistent daily use, while others may need longer. The main benefit is gentle everyday moisture and skin-barrier support without added fragrance or steroids.
